Mentors of Color and Business Equity for Indy (BEI) hosted the Mentors of Color Brunch and Networking Event, an event for 40 Black young professionals and local business leaders at 16 Tech. This event was focused on building mentoring relationships with Black professionals. Mentors and mentees included leaders from Be Nimble, Black Onyx Management, Cummins, Eli Lilly & Co., Pacers Sports and Entertainment, United Way of Central Indiana, and more.
This event intentionally featured representatives from Black-led young professional organizations like The Exchange (Young Professionals within the Indianapolis Urban League), the Indy Black Professionals, IndyHub, and the Ascend Network.
The delicious brunch was provided by Cookie Besties which is also part of the Melon Kitchen within 16 Tech. Participants in the event shared they left with new connections, guidance in their careers, and potential job opportunities.
